The Universidade de Lisboa (ULisboa) launched a PhD Scholarship Program in 2015. Recognizing the importance of student funding for the development of the economic and scientific systems, the program has been designed to create conditions for young researchers to realize their potential.
Between the years 2015 and 2016 ULisboa awarded 142 scholarships to doctoral students from different areas of knowledge. Grants awarded are renewable for 3 years.
In 2017, ULisboa promotes the opening of another competition for the award of Doctorate Scholarships, distributed by different Knowledge Areas. The competition is intended for new students enrolled or accepted in one of their PhD studies for the first time in the 2017/18 academic year, and applications must be submitted exclusively online.
Applications are open from December 12, 2017 to January 9, 2018 and are formalized online (link available soon)
The University of Lisbon is already organizing the next competition for the award of Doctorate Scholarships, within the scope of the Doctorate Scholarship Program of ULisboa, scheduled to start in April 2018.
