Short biography:
Máriam Abbas is a PhD student in Development Studies at ISEG. Assistant researcher at the Observatory of the Rural Environment (OMR) in Mozambique, and coordinator of the research line "Public Policies and Rural Environment". Her activities as research assistant began in 2011. Master in Economics from ISEG. Degree in Economics at the Polytechnic University in Mozambique, Maputo. Herresearch focuses on the following areas: agrarian economy, agrarian and rural development, public policies, food security and climate change. It has several publications among books, chapters of books, working papers and articles in international journals in its research area. In the academy, he was a lecturer in the subjects of Introduction to Economics and Economy of Mozambique at the Polytechnic University.
