Short biography:
José Peças, graduated in Organization and Business Management by ISCTE and Master of Business Sciences by ISEG. It also holds a post-graduate degree in Prospective, Strategy and Innovation by IDEFE-ISEG, where it is also currently taking a PhD in Management. It has more than 15 years of professional experience mainly developed in customer management of public utilities for water supply and wastewater sanitation, having been commercial director at Águas do Sado for 8 years. Currently, it is responsible for the coordination of the commercial areas of 11 companies concessionaires of AQUAPOR, involving the daily management of about 380,000 customers and a total of annual turnover of, approximately, 120 million of euros, having as main activities: the systematization of billing processes, billing, litigation management and customer relationship; improving efficiency in the performance of the functions of the commercial area, setting objectives, outlining action plans and promoting their implementation; the support to the concessionaires in the use of the best practices of the sector, promoting the exchange of experiences among the companies of AQUAPOR. He is also a member of the Associação Portuguesa de Distribuição e Drenagem de Águas (APDA), where he coordinates the Specialized Customer Management Commission. His skills and interests go beyond the water sector, with experience in teaching, logistics and innovation and business strategy.
