EJMS is a publication for serious academic study and is a channel for research in the field of Management. EJMS is of value to individuals who are interested in advances in the varied and vast area of research in Management, besides being a valuable resource to both academic and practitioner audiences. Academics interested in EJMS are likely to have a wide range of disciplinary affiliations, including: Strategy, Marketing, Human Resources, Organisational Behaviour, Operations and Logistics, Finance, Accounting, Management Control, Taxation, Information Systems for Management, Entrepreneurship, and International Management.

The re-launched “European Journal of Management Studies” (EJMS) has replaced the 20 year-old Portuguese Journal of Management Studies as from 2015. This change reflects the recent incorporation of ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management – into the largest and best ranked university in Portugal – Universidade de Lisboa. This re-launch aims to introduce new life to the journal and we are actively seeking high quality papers that would appeal to a world-wide audience.

Submission guidelines

Contributions are welcomed by the Editors. Papers are submitted online via the link on the Submission Instructions page. Any other editorial matters should be addressed to the Editors-in-Chief: Professors Luis Mota de Castro and Gurpreet Dhillon, at ISEG – Lisboa School of Economics and Management, Universidade de Lisboa, Rua de Quelhas, 6. 1200-781 LISBOA, Portugal. Email: ejms@iseg.ulisboa.pt.

The EJMS publishes original papers that use quantitative and qualitative approaches for research in the field of management, including disciplines such as: Strategy, Marketing, Human Resources, Organisational Behaviour, Operations and Logistics, Finance, Accounting, Management Control, Taxation, Information Systems for Management, Entrepreneurship, and International Management. The Journal places great emphasis on a rigorous and timely analysis of submitted papers, all of which undergo a double blind peer-review process. Regulations govern the length of time for referees to provide their report, and for authors to revise their papers, in order to guarantee that all papers are still up-to-date and relevant by the time they get to be published.

Book Reviews

Publishers are welcome to send two copies of each book for review to the above address. The first book is for the reviewer and the second is for the university’s library. Alternatively, one electronic copy may be sent only.

Open-Access

There is no annual subscription or publishing fees for the Journal, and published articles can be downloaded for free online, from the page entitled Articles. Hard copies of the Journal from 2015 onward can be purchased on request (see purchasing link on the website).
