ISEG, 27th to 28th june 2017
The Research Centre for Economic and Organisational Sociology of the Lisbon School of Economics and Management (CSG/SOCIUS-ISEG) is proud to announce its upcoming International Seminar “Changes and Continuities in Post-2008 Finance”, taking place on the 27th and 28th of June 2017.
The seminar reflects upon some of the consequences of the 2008 financial crisis from a plural and heterodox point of view, including contributions from the areas of sociology, anthropology and political economy.
The event is part of the research project Finance Beyond Fact and Fiction: Financial transformations in Post-2008 Europe, funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. Subjects under debate will include: financial experimentation with block chain technology, credit in carbon markets, changes in the banking sector, relationship between political and financial arenas (including financial supervision) and financial literacy.
