Short biography:

PhD in Development Studies by the Lisbon School of Economics and Management, Universidade de Lisboa, with the thesis' "Sovereign Debt Crisis and the Use of the Community Method in the Making of EU Responses (2010-2011): the Six-Pack Case on Economic Governance Reform" (2015). Master in International Development and Cooperation, Lisbon School of Economics and Management, Universidade de Lisboa, with the dissertation 'The Argentine Crisis, Cooperation and Conflict in Economic Reforms: the Government Before the IMF' (2004). Degree in Management from the Lisbon School of  Economics and Management, Universidade de Lisboa (1980). She has teaching experience at a university level in several national and foreign colleges. She is currently professor of the faculty of the University of Maryland/Europe. The area of preferential research is European economic governance. Her latest paper: "The Six-Pack as a Test for the New Intergovernmentalism and Supranationalism Theories" (RBPI 61(1), 2018.
