Short biography:
Kamila Krakowska Rodrigues is an Assitant Professor at the Leiden University Center for the Arts in Society (LUCAS) and Affiliated Researcher at the Centre of the Studies on Africa, Asia and Latin America (CESA) at the University of Lisbon, Portugal. In 2014, she completed her PhD at the Univeristy of Coimbra, Portugal, and her thesis on the motif of travel in the work of Mia Couto (Mozambique) and Mário de Andrade (Brazil) was awarded with the Fernão Mendes Prize. She was a member of collaborative research projects Postcolonial Nation and Narration and Written and Visual Narratives of the Postcolonial Nation, coordinated by Prof. Ana Mafalda Leite at CESA, and currently collaborates in the project Narratives of the Indian Ocean in the Lusophone Space.
