Short biography:
He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (FEUP) and a Master Degree in Industrial Maintenance (FEUP). He is an Associate Professor at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa (ISEL) since 2005 and is also a researcher at the Centre for Marine Technology and Ocean Engineering (CENTEC) of Instituto Superior Técnico. Main areas of research are Risk and Management, Maintenance, Reliability, Maintainability, Availability and Safety of Physical Assets. He has several communications in international and national scientific meetings, as well as publication in several international and national scientific journals. He is currently vice-president of the Portuguese Industrial Maintenance Association (APMI). He is researcher collaborator of SOCIUS.
