Short biography:
Ph.D student in Communication Sciences at ISCTE-IUL and invited assistant professor at the Higher School of Social Communication of the Lisbon Polytechnic Institute (ESCS-IPL). He holds a Masters degree in Communication, Culture and Information Technology from ISCTE-IUL and a degree in Social Communication from FCSH-Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He was a professional journalist for more than 30 years, having worked in the agencies Anop and Lusa and integrated the founding team of the newspaper Público, whose staff belonged until 2016 and where he was editor. His master's thesis was published in a book entitled When Timor-Leste was a Cause (MinervaCoimbra, Communication Collection, 2011).
