Short biography:
João Peixoto is Full Professor at the School of Economics and Management (ISEG) of the University of Lisbon, Portugal, and researcher at SOCIUS/CSG – Research Centre on Economic and Organizational Sociology, from the same institution. He studied sociology at ISCTE, Lisbon, and obtained a PhD in Economic and Organizational Sociology at ISEG. His main research areas are international migration, demography and economic sociology. He has published in international and national journals and he is author and co-author of several books.
