Short biography:
Assistant Professor at ISEG-Lisbon School of Economics & Management-UL. Holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from FCT-Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia (UNL) and a Master in Probability and Statistics from Faculdade de Ciências (UL). Graduated in Industrial Production Engineering from FCT –UNL. Graça’s research has been published in leading refereed journals such as International Journal of Operations & Production Management, Journal of International Marketing, Journal of Business Research, International Business Review, among others and presented at several conferences on Operations Management and Marketing. Her current research interests include Quality Management (e.g., TQM, Service quality), Innovation Management (e.g., Technological Innovation, Radical versus Incremental Innovation), Sustainability (e.g., Green Innovation, Green Supply Chains, Social and Environmental Practices), and Export Performance. She is Ad hoc reviewer for: Journal of Business Research, International Business Review, International Journal of Quality & Reliability Management, and International Journal of Sustainable Transportation. Graça is a member of the ADVANCE-CSG Research Center and Assistant Coordinator for the Knowledge, Technology and Strategy (KTS) research area of this center. She is also a member of Project Management Master’s Scientific Committee Board (ISEG-UL) and was member of Project Management Post-Graduate Course Committee Board (IDEFE-ISEG) from 2011 to 2015. She was Deputy Director of the Center for Globalization & Governance (CG&G), NOVA School of Business and Economics from 2010 to 2011. She was also a researcher for the Project “Quality Training: Findings from a European Survey” at UNIDEMI- Research and Development Unit for Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, FCT-UNL from 1999 to 2001. Graça has taught at undergraduate and postgraduate programs at several schools, namely, FCT-UNL, NOVASBE, NOVA Information Management School, Instituto Superior de Ciências Policiais e Segurança Interna, and ISEG-UL. She has taught courses of Production and Operations Management, Quality Management, Sustainable Operations Management, Research Methods for Business, Marketing Research, Research Design, Probability and Statistics, Innovation, Modernization and Quality in Public Services, Decision Support Systems, and Operations Research. Before entering academia Graça worked for Pioneer Electrónica Portugal as a Process Engineer (Responsible for Statistical Process Control implementation) and for Ford Electrónica Portuguesa as Manufacturing Engineer (Responsible for Total Productive Maintenance and Quick Changeover implementation). She was also engaged in Executive Training in the field of Quality Management.
