Short biography:
PhD (2015) in Management from the ISEG -Lisbon School of Economics and Management, Universidade de Lisboa, with the theme Essays on Managing English Football Clubs, obtained with the classification of Approved with Distinction and Praise by unanimity of the jury. He is currently an Assistant Professor at ISEG, researcher at Advance and collaborator at CEGE. Also, he is a member of the Executive Committee of the Department of Management, of the Scientific and Pedagogical Commission of the MSc in Accounting, Taxation and Corporate Finance, co-coordinator of the Postgraduate Course in Accounting and Taxation, co-coordinator of the Postgraduate in Control Management and Finance, Member of the Fiscal Council of Advance - Center for Research in Management of ISEG and member of the Fiscal Council of IDEFE - Institute for Economic, Financial and Business Studies and Development, SA. areas of audit, management control, financial accounting and management of football clubs. He is the co-author of several publications in international scientific journals and handbooks, including the book Exercises of Financial Accounting - Publisher Team. He has presented papers in several international conferences in the area of management control and auditing. He is currently a member of the European Accounting Association, Statutory Auditor (inscription no. 1367 in the Order of Statutory Auditors) and Certified Accountant (registration no. 60293 in the Order of Certified Accountants). In the framework of protocols between ISEG and other universities, he has participated in teaching activities in courses at the University of Madeira (Funchal), Tomar Polytechnic Institute (Tomar), University Agostinho Neto (Lubango and Benguela, Angola), University José Eduardo dos Santos (Huambo, Angola), Eduardo Mondlane University (Maputo, Mozambique) and Polytechnic University (Maputo, Mozambique). He began his non-academic professional activity at Arthur Andersen, in the Audit division. In recent years he has participated in applied research and consultancy projects developed by ISEG in the fields of investment analysis, economic impact of activities and financial accounting for private and public institutions in Portugal and abroad. He was member of several jury of procedures for the selection of directors for various Portuguese public institutes.
