The mission of CSG is doing research on the socio-economic and organizational reality, at the national, international and global level, taking account of the complexity of human behavior, the particularity of the functioning of institutions and the relationship with the surrounding social context. It is intended to connect and enhance the scientific knowledge in sociology, economics, management, development studies and history, in its fundamental and applied components, contributing to a more efficient response to the challenges of complexity. The aim is also to find ways to develop, innovate and communicate science and social knowledge, as well as contribute to effective decision making at the national and European framework.
The researchers gathered in CSG believe that the study of contemporary socio-economic and organizational reality requires a comprehensive and integrated approach, which is not limited to traditional scientific specializations.
Therefore, research activities are organized in Research Groups and Thematic Lines, each one with a principal investigator with a coordinating role.
